Eaton Corporation's Electro/Centers(TM) from Cutler-Hammer Answer Need for Cost-Effective Packaged Solutions

PITTSBURGH, PA. Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation's Cutler-Hammer Electro/Centers(TM) are pre-engineered, prefabricated power and industrial control buildings for utility and industrial marketplaces. Electro/Centers streamline the production and delivery process by eliminating multiple suppliers and limiting the risks inherent with on-site construction.

In addition to containing Cutler-Hammer's best-in-class electrical switchgear, motor control centers, breakers, and communications systems, Electro/Centers contain auxiliary equipment such as fire protection, air conditioning and battery systems, built to specifications.

"The Electro/Centers are designed to reduce overall project costs through the elimination of multiple vendors and reduced engineering load, and the ease-of-use of a one-stop shop," said Larry Stahl, product line manager. "A recent IEEE study confirmed what our customers have been telling us - prefabricated distribution and control buildings save costs and time."

On-site coordination and installation problems are eliminated since all equipment is installed and tested before it is shipped. Connecting line and load is all it takes to be up and running.

Electro/Centers are constructed using a welded I-beam base providing a solid foundation for internally mounted components allowing either slab or raised installation. The use of galvanized steel, stainless steel or aluminum construction
provides application flexibility for a wide variety of site conditions.
