Precision 3-Axis Dispensing Systems suit SMT assembly tasks.

Press Release Summary:

Combining 3-axis robots with integrated digital dispense controllers, 2004D Series consists of <100 lb benchtop units that can store up to 10,000 different dispensing routines created via hand-held teach pendant. X-Y working ranges, depending on model, are 300 x 300 mm, 400 x 400 mm, and 500 x 500 mm, and all models offer 100 mm Z-axis stroke. With speeds to 800 mm/sec and repeatability of ±0.01 mm per axis, robots handle point-to-point, linear, or curved-arc application.

High-Precision 3-Axis Dispensing Systems Starting at Under $10K

Manncorp’s new 2004D Series of multi-purpose, off-the-shelf dispensing solutions combine high-precision, 3-axis robots with integrated digital dispense controllers for a wide variety of SMT assembly tasks.  Point-to-point, linear, or curved-arc application of solder pastes, solder masks, conductive epoxies, and other adhesives is simple and easy with fully synchronized hardware and software.  These compact, benchtop units weigh less than 100 lbs. and can store up to 10,000 different dispensing routines created through the use of a hand-held teach pendant and simple, intuitive programming.  Import of a wide variety of CAD and graphics file formats and three-dimensional interpolation of arc and line data points, also make the 2004D Series ideal for under-filling, encapsulation, potting, and sealing processes.

Starting at only $9,995, these systems deliver exceptional quality and performance at remarkably low prices.  Three standard robot models are available—the 2004D-300, 2004D-400, and 2004D-500, with X-Y working ranges of 300 x 300 mm, 400 x 400 mm, and 500 x 500 mm respectively.  Designed for maximum speed, precision, and reliability, the units feature a high-torque, fast response drive mechanism for speeds to 800 mm/sec. and high-accuracy linear guide rails for a repeatability of ±0.01 mm per axis.  All three models have 100 mm of Z-axis stroke and an advanced braking system that can hold up to a 6 kg payload without power.

The integrated digital dispenser utilizes advanced timer control circuitry and a high-speed, American-made solenoid valve that allow dispense duration to be set as low as 0.001 seconds for micro-dispensing volumes as small as 0.001ml. An adjustable suck-back function prevents dripping of low-viscosity liquids.  The standard dispense controller is supplied with a conventional barrel-type syringe adapter and is compatible with a wide assortment of micro-dispensing valves, tips, and accessories also available from Manncorp.
