Field Controls Introduces Commercial Sized Power Venters
(Kinston, NC) Field Controls is introducing three new-heavy duty SWG Power Venters to serve the industrial/commercial market. The new units incorporate standard industrial motors built to NEMA 56-C standards and are designed to vent oil and gas systems up to 3 million BTU input with proper control kit.
The SWG Commercial Series is available in 10, 12 and 14 inch sizes and comes with standard single phase 115/230 VAC TEFC motors. "The benefit of these motors," according to Steve Guzorek, Vice President of Engineering at Field, "is that they are standard industrial supply models that can be easily replaced when necessary. This eliminates down time in the event of a motor failure." Each unit is equipped with a separate motor starter with thermal overload protection. These models can be installed through walls 4" to 12.5" thick with as little as 1/2 inch clearance to combustibles. Maximum continuous operating temperature is 600 degrees Fahrenheit. Motor assembly and housing are boxed separately to allow for convenient drop shipment without product damage.
Field Controls' SWG utilizes 100% Negative Pressure, pulling the gases through the system and exhausting them outside. The negative pressure allows for use of standard vent pipe and reduces the risk of flue gas leakage. The SWG can be used with virtually any oil or gas appliance and can vent several appliances at once.
