Orange, CA (January 14, 2004) - Radius Power Inc., today announced the immediate availability of their new power supply unit (PSU) that is specifically design for the latest surround sound hot tubs and spas. The new unit, specified as R1005, is a single 12-volt output power supply rated at 180 or 350 watts with power inputs of 120 or 240 VAC. The unit is ETL certified to meet UL/CSA standards for Spa/Hot Tub usage providing all the power needed for today's integrated water resistant audio, communication and control equipment. Electricity and water have never been a good mix and the challenges to bring modern embedded controls and surround sound stereos to today's modern spas are immense. The R1005 power supply series meets these challenges to supply clean power for all spa communication and entertainment requirements. Key to the power supply's full compliance for spa use is the shielded and grounded transformer that reduces or eliminates shock hazards.
