Flo-tech Offers New Flo-check® PFM Series of Portable Hydraulic Testers
Racine, Wis. - Flo-tech, a division of Racine Federated Inc., introduces a series of portable hydraulic testers with sophisticated electronics for fast, accurate diagnostic troubleshooting. The Flo-check® PFM series includes the PFM6 Flo-check Digital Hydraulic Test Unit, the PFM6BD Flo-check Bi-Directional Hydraulic Test Unit and the PFM8 Flo-check Digital Hydraulic Test Unit & Dynamometer. All three Flo-check PFM hydraulic testers are accurate within +1% full range, provide large 3 1/2 digit LCD for both flow and temperature, and make all flow, pressure and temperature measurements simultaneously from one point. All are compact, lightweight and self-contained for portability, with a pressure rating of 6000 psi (414 bar, 41.4 MPa) maximum and operating temperatures to 300 F (150 C). Other standard features include pressure relief disc protection and low battery/over-range indicators. The PFM6 series is ideal for fast diagnostic troubleshooting of all types of mobile or stationary hydraulic systems and components. Easy to use, the PFM6 is operated with one toggle switch controlling power, flow and temperature. Its turbine flow sensor responds quickly. The load valve offers fingertip control. The PFM 6 is designed with three port sizes from SAE # 12 to SAE #24, with flow ranges of 1-15 GPM (4-56 LPM); 2-30 GPM (7.5-113.6 LPM); 3-60 GPM (12-227 LPM); 4-85 GPM (15-321 LPM); and 7-199.9 GPM (26-757 LPM). The PFM6BD offers all the benefits of the PFM6 series in a unit designed for in-line testing of bi-directional motors, servo systems and valves. Flo-tech's Flo-check series has the lowest pressure drop of any bi-directional tester on the market. The PFM6BD is designed with two port sizes - SAE #16 and SAE #24, with flow ranges of 3-30 GPM (12-227 LPM); 4-85 GPM (15-321 LPM); and 7-199.9 GPM (26-757 LPM). The PFM8 Flo-check Digital Hydraulic Test Unit & Dynamometer is completely digital, offering a front panel with selectable U.S. or metric readings. Its portable dynamometer reads both HP and kW power directly. A large, easy to use membrane switch selects flow-temperature, pressure or power. The unit automatically turns itself off after five minutes if there is no flow signal, saving power and wear and tear. Its low noise input circuitry provides steadier readings when flow is pulsating or cavitating. In addition to offering the standard features of the PFM6 model, it also features a silicon strain gauge pressure sensor.
