July 19, 2012 - Performing analysis using NIR spectroscopy, PetroSpec QuickSpec(TM) measures ethanol from 0.1-100.0 vol% and water from 0.01-5.00 vol% with accuracy down to tenths of volume percent. Fully automated unit features portable design that enables operators to determine purity of denatured ethanol being delivered to terminal, in refinery, or to blending tank, as well as ethanol and water levels in finished gasoline blends. Total analysis time is typically under 30 seconds.
