Poppet Valves are solenoid operated.

Press Release Summary:

Bronze Star® direct solenoid-operated 2-way poppet valves employ pulse width modulated solenoid electronics to extend solenoid life and reduce power usage. Constructed of non-corrosive bronze, brass, and stainless steel, valves are designed to operate from 29 in. mg vacuum to 500 psi air. Valves are available in NPT pipe sizes ranging from 1/4 to 2 in. Seal options are available to handle most common media.

LEXAIR'S BRONZE STAR® SOLENOID-OPERATED POPPET VALVES EMPLOY ELECTRONIC TECHNOLOGY TO INCREASE SOLENOID LIFE

LEXINGTON, KY (December 19, 2001) - The Bronze Star® line of Direct Solenoid-Operated 2-Way Poppet Valves from Lexair employ the latest pulse width modulated solenoid electronics to extend solenoid life and reduce power usage.

The new valve minimizes solenoid holding current while providing a much wider input voltage range. The direct solenoid design is ideal for use in vacuum, low pressure or high pressure applications where pilot-assisted valves won't operate.

Low maintenance and high reliability are hallmarks of the Bronze Star valves due to the elimination of any small orifices that can clog during operation. In addition, pulse width modulation electronic technology permits a very low solenoid holding current. This lowers heat and power consumption, resulting in reduced operating costs and virtually trouble-free operation for millions of cycles.

Lexair direct solenoid-operated valves are ruggedly constructed of non-corrosive bronze, brass and stainless steel, the same as the company's standard line of 2-way poppet valves.

Designed to operate from 29" mg vacuum to 500 psi air, the valves are available in NPT pipe sizes ranging from 1/4" to 2". A wide range of seal options is available to handle most common media.
