New Compact Advanced Motion Controller

BURLINGTON, MA -- Steinmeyer, Inc. today announced a small new point to point controller to complement its line of precision linear stages. The new FMC200 series controller offers a compact design that is able to support a wide range of motors including Linear Brushless, DC Brush and Stepper Motors.  Up to 3 axes can be controlled from a single unit that measures only 100x100x25 mm.  Input power, ranging from 9 to 36 VDC, depends on the motors to be controlled.  Open loop as well as closed loop control is possible.  Maximum input quadrature encoder frequency is 10 MHz.

The controller is preconfigured for easy installation with an individual configuration file and our simple to use Windows software called FMC Quick Access. With just a few clicks this intuitive software allows you to run start up tests within a couple of minutes!

The new FMC200 series controller comes with a software package that includes LabView libraries. Other libraries such as C++, C#, Visual Basic, Delphi and more are also available. If your application requires a multi axis setup with more than 3 axes, simply connect a second FMC controller via our FMC-Link and add as many ports as needed.  Stand alone operation is possible with stored motion sequences.  The controller, able to interface with an external joystick and limit switches, also includes extra I/O ports.
