Caron Introduces New Extra Large Capacity Plant Growth Chambers

This new series represents a broader product offering for additional applications, including: general plant growth experiments (shrubs, horticulture, crops), plant production, lighting for vascular plants, plant pathology, plant morphology, plant tissue culture, seed development, algae production, genetic studies involving arabidopsis, pharmaceutical development of cannabis and medicinal plants, plant physiology, plant biochemistry, plant molecular biology and more.

The new products include six Plant Growth Chamber models and four Arabidopsis/Algae Chamber models with light intensities up to 1,200 μmoles/m2/s, growth height capacities up to 50.5 inches, multi- tier models with growth areas up to 36 ft2 and a wide temperature operating range. Many options and accessories are available to choose from, including dimmable/programmable lights, humidity control, CO2 control and chlorophyll-matching lamps.
The new chambers feature a 7” color touchscreen that is intuitive with easy-to-read icons and a familiar, user-friendly display that can be operated with gloves on. The control panel has a built-in status center that provides vital information updates, including a change lamp alert that keeps track of lamp life, notifying you when lamps should be replaced.
These new products are made of of stainless steel, making them easy to clean and highly resistant to corrosion, and they include and expand upon Caron’s key features such as:
• gLux™, energy efficient lamps that are 65% brighter and last up to twice as long as other light fixtures with a 24 hour cycle timer for day/night temperature settings
• gROD™; Refrigeration on Demand, which manages power consumption and saves electricity by providing refrigeration as-needed
• Ergonomic design takes up a minimal lab footprint and Caron green door handles are attractive and modern
• Tool-less removable interior makes products easy to clean and reconfigure
New features include:
• Magnetic, self-closing doors with locks
• Energy efficient foamed-in-place CFC-free insulation that contributes to minimal heat loss
• Full-color user interface with a configurable communication center
• Front access to electrical board and air filter, for easy maintenance
