PHD's NEW Lightweight, Compact Series PLM Pin Locating Clamp

PHD has just released its NEW Series PLM Pin Locating Clamp. This pneumatically powered actuator locates, clamps, and supports parts in welding applications. The clamp's lightweight design easily mounts to robots and its compact envelope size makes it ideal for hard-to-reach applications. The Series PLM Clamp is fully enclosed to provide protection against weld slag and other contaminants to ensure long service life. The clamp's built-in locking mechanism locks the pin in any position to secure parts if air pressure is lost or removed. A manual part release is standard for easy part retrieval.

Additional benefits include:

o Completely enclosed design
o Available in four pin sizes (13 mm, 16 mm, 20 mm, & 25 mm)
o Pin size of unit can be easily modified in the field by replacing three parts
o Enclosed pin and fingers provide maximum protection against weld slag and other contaminants
o Short pin length for blind applications
o Built-in locking mechanism holds panel in place if air pressure is lost or removed
o Manual unlock is standard to allow easy part retrieval if air pressure is lost
o Shimmable part support allows for easy height adjustment without machining
o Part support height adjusts with NAAMS(TM) shims
o NAAMS(TM) mounting
o Lightweight construction facilitates mounting on moving robot
o Position sensing provides open or closed sensing with industry standard AC or DC weld field immune switches mounted in a protected housing for consistent position sensing
o Long life seals can withstand dirt or water, which are often present in shop air
o Fully field repairable
o 24 hour delivery from receipt of order
