Pilot Valves suit space-limited fluid control applications.

Press Release Summary:

Series 84720 and 84740 angle-seat, electro-pneumatic, flow-regulating valves combine valve, displacement gauge, and electronic control in single unit. Made from high-grade stainless steel with brass body, units are suited for deployment in aggressive, gaseous, liquid, and vaporous fluid environments with temperatures ranging from 14-356°F. Either 1-10 V or 4-20 mA signal from PLC can control regulation of valves. Pressure rating is 58-87 psi.

Norgren's New Angle Seat Pilot Valves Are Ideal for Space Limited Fluid Control Applications

Littleton, Colorado, USA - July 2004. Norgren, the motion and fluid control specialist, has recently introduced new versions of its 84500 and 84520 series angle seat pilot valves. Developed to deliver engineering advantage to customers who have limited installation space in their fluid control projects, the new electro pneumatic flow regulating valves combine the valve, displacement gauge and electronic control in a single compact unit. Designated as the 84720 and 84740 models the devices are manufactured from high-grade stainless steel and featuring a brass valve body the units are ideal for deployment in aggressive, gaseous, liquid and vaporous fluid environments in the temperature range of 14°F to 356°F.

Operation of the valve is made easy via the control electronics user-friendly guided menus. Either a 1 to 10V or 0/4 to 20mA signal directly from a PLC can control the regulation of the valve; the valves can also be operated manually. The units are suitable for a pressure rating of 58 to 87 PS1. The valves deliver competitive advantage to the customer due to the minimal use of compressed air. Once the required position is reached the controller does not use air thus saving the cost of this valuable medium. In the event of a power failure or loss of control air the valve switches into a defined closed mode and executes the automatic shut off function.
