EMIT Introduces New SmartLog Pro(TM)

The SmartLog Pro™ verifies the functionality of an operator’s wrist strap and/or footwear, logs the test record, and controls access to an ESD Protected Area. All operator test activity is logged into a database to meet the ANSI/ESD S20.20 requirement for “Compliance verification records shall be established and maintained” and for on-going quality control purposes.
Test limits and test parameters (wrist strap only, wrist strap and footwear, footwear only, etc) may be customized with the software to meet special requirements. Test logs are automatically created to track operator activity and database test records for auditing and on-going quality control purposes. Each test log includes the operator’s identification, test results, resistance measurements, humidity, and a time stamp. Automated reports maybe created and automatically emailed to track short term and long term corrective action and other functions. To further control access to the ESD Protected Area, the Smartlog® Pro may be connected to an automatically locking door or turnstile to prevent operators that have not met the testing limits or do not belong in the area from entering.
The SmartLog Pro™ offers three operator identification methods – HID OMNIKEY® Proximity reader, bar code scanner, and keypad entry. The five-inch color touchscreen provides an intuitive user interface for easy test operation and a clear indication of their test status. The operator average test time is 2 seconds. Internal memory allows operators to continue to use the tester if there is network failure that the Smartlog® Pro is connected to. All test records would set to the database on the next polling cycle after the network connection is restored.
