ANN ARBOR, MI - Compact size, LED lighting and 25x or 50x magnification are features of new Aven Pocket Microscopes designed for professional use in tight spaces.
The five-inch instrument allows basic checks by industrial inspectors, lab technicians, printers, science students and emergency medical responders. Applications include quality control inspections of parts, circuit boards, printing alignment and woven textiles. The battery-operated Pocket Microscope, available with or without a measurement scale, also is ideal for gemologists, forensic investigators, field biologists or geologists, educators and hobbyists.
The slim, pen-style scope has a glass lens and plastic-aluminum body. A beveled, clear base lets ambient light supplement the LED enhancement. Each model comes with a vinyl sleeve and pocket clip.
