Rugged PC104 Cards Target Military, Aerospace and Defense Applications
Fairport, New York. Cool Space Runner II (TM) brings high reliability. Pentium Class CPU power to embedded PC applications requiring durability, compactness, low power consumption and fanless operation. Designed for very rough use, key features of Cool Space Runner II (TM) include wide operating temperature range (-40°C to +85°C), 128 Mbyte SDRAM soldered directly to the PCB for extra durability, 5.5W power consumption, no active cooling and polyimide material in the inner layers for shock and vibration resistance.
Cool Road Runner III (TM) is a compact single board computer for the most demanding performance applications, incorporating a Mobile Intel Celeron, Ultra Low Voltage Pentium technology core. It ensures low power supply requirements while providing high computing performance. VIA TwisterT chipset with Savage4 graphics accelerator from S3 provides a very compact board format.
PC functions such as COM1/2, LPT with EPP/EPC, 2xUSB, FDD, PS/2 Mouse and Keyboard, are standard. SVGA, TFT and LVDS interfaces allow very flexible display usage, with resolutions as high as 1600x1200 at 16.7 million colors. A TV-out connector for S-Video Composite signals is also integrated.
Cool Road Runner III (TM) is available with up to 512 MB SDRAM. A Compact Flash socket makes possible the use of on-board mass memory. The module can be easily extended via ISA or PCI bus, using standard PC/104(+) extension boards.
