Designed to deliver performance, reliability and quality at a reasonable price, the EBC-5610 supports the Socket 370-based, high-performance 66/100/133 Celeron®/Pentium®III processor series. A 168-pin DIMM socket allows for up to 512MB of SDRAM support. The enhanced IDE supports two IDE devices and also Ultra DMA/100 mode with data transfer rates up to 100MB/sec.

Built-in Ethernet, Audio Controller
The Arista EBC-5610 uses the Intel 82559ER PCI bus Ethernet controller providing dual 10/100 BASE LAN channels. The system chipset supports AC97 2.0 compliant interface, Multi-stream Direct Sound and Direct Sound 3D acceleration, Microphone in, Line in, CD Audio in, Line-in and Speaker out.

Powerful I/0
The board has three RS-232 ports and one 232/422/485 that can be configured as COM1, COM2, COM3, COM4 or disabled individually. The board includes dual USB, IrDA Tx/Rx, KB/Mouse connector, and one DiskOnChip(TM) socket.

Special industrial features not found on conventional motherboards include a watchdog timer that can generate a system reset and software selectable time-out interval (32 sec to 254 min) at 1 min/step. Seven DMA channels and fifteen interrupt levels are built in as well.

The system features the SMI Lynx3DM SM 721 chipset for high performance 128 bit GUI and 3D engine, Display Memory of 4MB of SGRAM frame buffer, simultaneous CRT and flat panel (TFT & DSTN) displays, an AGP 2X Accelerator, Resolution up to 1024 x 768 @ 24 bpp, a video capture port (40-pin YUV Direct), and a TV Output Interface. The system has one CF+ socket to support Type I/II Compact Flash memory devices.

Power Management
The EBC-5610 supports ATX power supply, supports PC97, LAN wake-up and modem ring-in functions. I/O peripheral devices support power saving and doze/standby/suspend modes and is fully APM 1.2 compliant.
