Interroll Pallet Drive Provides Space-Saving And Maintenance-Free Solution
Wilmington, N.C., January 10, 2005. Providing an alternative to the complicated and noisy conventional drive components such as gear motors, motor stations, chains and necessary chain covers, Interroll Corporation introduces its Pallet Drive technology to provide safer and quieter operation. The Pallet Drive conveyor system is a compact, space-saving and maintenance-free driven conveyor featuring the design of a gravity roller conveyor.
"Because of its innovative design, the Pallet Drive uses less parts-no gear motor, no motor station, no chains and guards," said Kim Hagan, Interroll conveyor component Product Manager. "Less parts mean greater ruggedness and reliability, and also save time and money due to less assembly and maintenance requirements."
The Pallet Drive conveyor kits are comprised of two Interroll pallet drives and five gravity conveyor rollers. The simple installation makes switching from gear motor to Interroll Pallet Drives easy when used in conjunction with matching Interroll standard products.
The Interroll Pallet Drives are mounted in brackets with rubber inlays so they are higher than the gravity conveyor rollers. The pallet presses the pallet drives down to the level of the transporting gravity conveyor rollers, so that the weight of the pallet is evenly distributed and the item being conveyed is constantly in contact with the pallet drives during transport.
Interroll drives have a diameter of 113mm and are combined with the series 1450 heavy duty conveyor rollers with a diameter of 89mm. Allowing speeds up to 50 fpm, the pallet drive kit has a load capacity of 3,000 pounds.
