Easy-to-Use Optical Light Source
Toronto, Canada - GAO Fiber Optics (www.GAOFiberOptics.com) has released this rugged, easy-to-use optical light source, which is ideal for maintenance in telecommunications, CATV systems, fiber optic lab testing and for other fiber optic measurements.
This mini optical light source, model 5203, features a compact size, easy operation and highly stable output power. It provides wavelengths of 1310nm and 1550nm and uses an FP-LD emitter. The maximum spectral width is 10nm. Paired together with the GAO5301 mini optical power meter, it forms a small optical loss test kit and provides an excellent solution for fiber optic network field work. Moreover, the light source operates continuously for more than 40 hours using only 3 1.5V alkaline batteries.
