Probe Capability at BiOS / Photonics West Conferences
Norcross, Georgia. – OFS, a leading designer, manufacturer, and supplier of innovative fiber optic products will showcase its new OCT optical fiber assembly capabilities at the BiOS / Photonics West Exposition located at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, California from 7 through 12 February 2015.
OFS has developed a technology platform to build high quality optical fiber probes with flexible tip lensing designs to meet critical OCT imaging specifications such as: insertion loss, internal back reflection, beam size, and working distance.

Steve Allen, OFS Marketing Manager states, “because OFS is vertically integrated with preform (glass) manufacturing, we can make a wide range of fibers with unique features such as select cutoff, specific numerical apertures, graded index fibers, and coreless fibers.” Mr. Allen continues, “in addition, we have extensive polishing and fiber tip shaping skills and can assemble a custom lens design for each customer.”
