It has numerous advantages over conventional LED based units such as: long term stability, vibration resistant, reliable operation in low and high concentrations and very low maintenance requirements. The use of laser light source gives ultimate wavelength stability and 100% better beam collimation.
Ducon Opacity monitor including weatherproof housing weighs less than 40 pounds and has a beam diameter of about one millimeter. The laser opacity monitor offers many special features not found on other brands such as there is no need for factory calibration, on line zero calibration & the monitor automatically corrects for dirt that can accumulate on these surfaces.
