Nipro Medical Corporation Launches the AQUALiner II Second Generation 0.035" Hydrophilic, Super-Elastic Nitinol Guidewire in the United States
BRIDGEWATER, N.J. –Â Nipro North America, a division of Nipro Medical Corporation, announced the launch of the AQUALiner II second generation 0.035" hydrophilic, super-elastic Nitinol guidewire. The guidewire enables the operator to navigate through complex lesions and deliver interventional devices such as balloons and stents. The reengineered AQUALiner II is the enhanced second generation guidewire offering in Nipro's Interventional Division.
AQUALiner II's improved, kink-resistant Nitinol core provides the control needed to navigate the vasculature by absorbing strain and maintaining strength. The super-elasticity of AQUALiner II's core wire conforms to the patient's vasculature and provides excellent support for interventional devices.
The guidewire's hydrophilic coating delivers the durability required to maintain lubricity throughout the procedure even through multiple passes. AQUALiner II also delivers excellent tactile feel, pushability and trackability even in the most challenging anatomy.
The chemically-engineered tip delivers a smooth, atraumatic insertion and navigation through vessels. Minimal force is required, allowing for better steerability and control. The tapered tip also provides optimal stability, while still maintaining a flexible soft taper.
