Greenlee® Communications Launches DataScout® 10Gx
Rockford, IL— Greenlee Textron Inc., a Textron Inc.(NYSE: TXT) company continues to drive innovation with the launch of the DataScout® 10Gx multi-service network analyzer under the Greenlee® Communications brand. This new Greenlee Communications branded analyzer can be remotely controlled up to 100 feet away using any Android tablet or mobile device equipped with Bluetooth.
“Service providers and utilities are integrating mobile devices into their workflows and are seeking test equipment that leverages these devices as well” said Ken Fridley, product manager for the Greenlee Communications branded products. “The DataScout 10Gx enables technicians to work independently of their test equipment, yet still retain full command and control when working in tight locations or in high density equipment racks”.
Ken Fridley states, “By controlling the device via Bluetooth, the DataScout 10Gx eliminates the need for a built in touch screen display which extends average battery run time and reduces the theft profile when left onsite to monitor remote circuits.  Multiple 10Gx units can even be controlled by a single technician when required”.
