Neo Magnet Assemblies are offered in various configurations.

Press Release Summary:

Assemblies made with Neodymium (Neo) magnets are available in 3 main styles: round base, channel, and sandwich. Each is constructed with magnet encased in plated or powder-coated steel cups, channels, or plates. Coatings are available for outdoor use, and rubber boots provide scratch resistance. Use of Neo magnets increases capacity of 30 lb assembly to 100 lb while staying within given size and shape requirements.

Powerful Strength in a Small Package: Adams Introduces Neodymium Magnetic Assemblies

(Elmhurst, Illinois) -- One of the first companies to manufacture magnetic assemblies, Adams Magnetic Products Co. has expanded the potential applications for these powerful magnet products by incorporating Neodymium ("Neo") magnets.

"Delivering incredible strength in a small package, the use of Neo in our assemblies allows us to take a 30-pound assembly and make it hold 100 pounds," says Kerry Buntrock, general manager for Adams' flexible magnets and magnetic assemblies division. "We also can adjust the strength of an assembly -- staying within the size and shape that our customers need, while offering a choice of holding strengths for their unique application."

Low cost, versatile, high strength magnetic assemblies are a staple of Adams' product line and of its customers' designs. As one of the oldest U.S. companies in the industry, Adams has developed and manufactured these products for more than 50 years helping establish, and to maintain, the standard for many, innovative magnetic assemblies. Adams stocks hundreds of thousands of these popular assemblies in three main styles: round base and channel magnetic products with, or without hooks; and sandwiches for use as sign and banner holders, or as latches in fixtures. Each assembly is constructed with a powerful magnet encased in plated or powder-coated steel cups, channels or plates.

"Neo" magnets require knowledgeable engineering, fabricating and handling. Usually shaped in rings, rectangles, squares, discs and rods, Neo material is easily cut and ground, but coolants must be used to avoid spontaneous combustion. Because Neo requires extremely high magnetizing fields, machining the rare earth material must occur prior to magnetization and special considerations and fixtures may be needed to accommodate assemblies. After the magnet is ground to specification, Adams applies a corrosion-resistant coating or plating to further protect the magnets. It also provides coatings for outdoor use and rubber boots for scratch resistance.

Established in 1950, Adams Magnetic Products Co. sets the standard for designing and manufacturing innovative magnetic products and assemblies. One of the oldest U.S. companies in the industry, its staff draws from a depth of engineering, fabricating, coating, testing, sourcing, handling, and distributing expertise managing inventory and delivery to coincide with customers' production cycles and schedules. Adams stocks a large variety and quantity of the most popular magnetic products and has the capabilities to produce magnets of virtually any shape and size.
