Two-Path Wedge Gap Film Applicator
A stainless steel instrument with two clearances for producing wedge-shaped wet films of paints, coatings and related products
Clearance of Wedge Gaps:
• Gap Side No. 2 = 10 – 20 Mils
• Gap Side No. 1 = 0 – 10 Mils
Dow/Latex Straddle 2-Path Wet Film Applicator
For use with washability test panels
Used for applying a wet film (top coat) over a dry film (bottom coat). Applicator has both 7 and 10 mil gate clearance which will lay down wet films of approximately 3-1/2 and 5 mil wet thickness.
Features:
• Two-path “straddle” wet film applicator with 7 & 10 mil gate clearance and path widths of 5-1/4" and 5-1/2".
• Made of chrome-plated tool steel
• Meets ASTM D2486, D3258
• A specially designed applicator that will lay down a wet film and, after film is dry, the applicator will lay down another film directly on top of same
