Faster Speech Transmission Index (STI) Measurements

NTi Audio is pleased to announce the launch of the MPS-STI grid. Now you can simultaneously perform four speech intelligibility measurements, dramatically reducing the time it takes to determine the speech transmission index in large areas.

The new Multi-Position Simultaneous STI measurement grid set (MPS-STI grid) comprises of four XL2 Acoustic Analyzers plus precision microphones, positioned in an exact 2 x 2 m grid allowing simultaneous measurements at four positions.

The lightweight aluminum construct makes it easy to carry. It also collapses (like an umbrella - actually exactly like an umbrella) for convenient transportation.

The MPS-STI grid is delivered with a waterproof canvas canopy so that measurements can be conducted also on rainy and blisteringly hot (probably no application in the UK) days.

The efficiency improvement can be further optimized by using the GPS functionality of your smart watch, indicating when you have moved exactly 4 m. Linking to the vibration alarm removes the necessity for you to even look at your watch.

NTi engineers are also working on a larger 10 x 10 m grid version; this version will be further kitted out with a drone on each corner, reducing weight and stabilizing the corner positions.
