Olympus BX61 Motorized Microscope And Micro Suite(TM) Software

Melville, NY - Olympus America Inc., Scientific Equipment Group, is pleased to announce the new fully motorized Olympus BX61 microscope and MicroSuite software, produced for Olympus by Soft Imaging System. These two products go hand-in-hand to create a user-friendly general purpose imaging solution system.

The BX61 microscope has a built-in motorized Z-drive (0.01 .1 resolution), and can be equipped with a motorized nosepiece, condenser, reflected light or fluorescence illuminator, and up to three 6-position filter wheels in various locations. The sixteen handswitch buttons and eight frame buttons are fully programmable through a computer interface, and key configurations can be defined in the software.

The MicroSuite software includes the ScopeView module for microscope control, and truly showcases the power of the microscope, enabling the user to quickly change between various modes of observation (transmitted brightfield or darkfield, phase contrast, DIC, polarized, fluorescence, and reflected brightfield or darkfield). A push of a button or a click of a mouse automatically sets up the microscope with the proper illumination and appropriate objectives, contrast inserts, filter cubes, and auxiliary filters. User-definable configurations with access privileges at various levels make this system an ideal choice for a multi-user facility. The MicroSuite line of software comes in three versions: the Basic version, the Biological Suite. and the Materials Suite.

The result is a total imaging platform, all the way from image acquisition and processing, to data analysis, report generation, and database archiving to either a local or "global" network database.

The combination of the BX6 1 microscope and the MicroSuite imaging software is a completely integrated imaging solution system that will simplify your work and enhance your research.
