SKOKIE, IL, February 5, 2002 ? O-Z/Gedney offers its Nelson line of combination starters specifically designed for starting and stopping single-speed, non-reversing squirrel cage motors at full voltage, utilizing either automatic or manual control. UL Listed for use in hazardous locations, such as petrochemical plants, waste treatment centers or paint factories, they protect against dangerous short circuits, while also serving as a disconnect.

Nelson combination starters are exceptionally rugged so they can stand up to worst-case industrial applications. They are built from copper - free cast aluminum with a corrosion-resistant gray vinyl finish, plus feature long-lasting stainless steel cover bolts with captive triple threads; a stainless steel breaker handle with provisions for padlocking in the 3ON2 or 3OFF2 position; and a neoprene O-Ring gasket for weather resistance (NEMA 4, 7, 9).

The combination starters offer maximum internal space, allowing for wiring and the installation of additional control devices. Components are front-mounted on a pan to allow for easy visual inspection and convenient maintenance.
