Original Press Release:

New 1-24 GHz GaAs Driver Amplifier Delivers +20 dBm of Output Power

Westford, MA – Custom MMIC, (www.CustomMMIC.com), a developer of performance-driven monolithic microwave integrated circuits (MMICs), has added a new 1-24 GHz distributed driver amplifier in die form, the CMD197, to its growing product line.

The CMD197 offers 16 dB of flat gain with a corresponding output 1 dB compression point of greater than +20 dBm and an output IP3 of greater than +30 dBm across its entire bandwidth. The amplifier also includes a number of features including a single positive bias requirement, an on-chip bias choke, 50 Ohm port matches, wide bandwidth, and high linearity. Full passivation of the die ensures increased reliability and moisture protection.

Ideal applications for the CMD197 include military and space, wideband communication systems, microwave radio, VSAT, and test instrumentation.
