Miniature Pressure Sensors are optimized for media compatibility.

Press Release Summary:

Offering ranges from 1–150 psi FS, HMA pressure sensors provide amplified analog output signals and come in versions with 5 and 3 V supply. All sensitive electrical components are arranged exclusively on one side of piezoresistive sensor element, promoting media compatibility on one pressure port to measure gases and liquids, while precision digital signal conditioning enables Total Error Bands (TEB) of better than ±1.5 % FSS over range of -4 to +185°F.

Original Press Release:

New Miniature Pressure Sensors with Increased Media Compatibility and Pressure Ranges up to 150 psi (10 bar)

First Sensor presents the new Sensortechnics HMA pressure sensors with ranges from 1 to 150 psi (100 mbar to 10 bar) full scale. The sensors feature a special construction where all sensitive electrical components are arranged exclusively on one side of the piezoresistive sensor element. Thereby the HMA series achieves increased media compatibility on one pressure port to measure gases and liquids.

The HMA pressure sensors utilize precision digital signal conditioning to enable Total Error Bands (TEB) better than ±1.5 %FSS over a wide temperature range of -20…+85 °C (-4…185 °F). The devices provide amplified analog output signals and versions with 5 V and 3 V supply. The Sensortechnics HMA series offers very small SIL and DIP housings with a selection of pressure ports for tubing connection or manifold mounting. All HMA sensors can be modified according to customer specific requirements. Digital I²C and SPI bus interfaces are available on request.

Important features of the new HMA series:

- Pressure ranges from 1 to 150 psi (100 mbar to 10 bar) full scale

- Increased media compatibility for gases and liquids

- Total Error Band (TEB) better than ±1.5 %FSS from -20…+85 °C (-4…185 °F)

- Very small SIL and DIP housings with a selection of pressure ports

Typical applications of the HMA pressure sensors include industrial, pneumatic and environmental controls, HVAC, analytical instruments, as well as all pressure measurement tasks where increased media compatibility is required.
