Overview

Take advantage of the latest removable disk drive technology by adding the IBM 4 GB1 Microdrive(TM) to your ThinkPad® notebook. This new Microdrive weighs less than a AA battery, has a footprint measuring less than one square inch, and can hold almost 2800 times more data or images than a diskette. It offers high performance for applications that have high data/image and portability requirements.

The 4 GB Microdrive uses HDD technology to store information. The PC Card lets you share data with other ThinkPad notebooks and devices. It has an industry-standard Compact Flash Type II form factor, and included PC Card adapter so you can plug the Microdrive into a Type II PC card slot2.

With its small size and industry-standard removable format, this Microdrive is an ideal storage solution for "go anywhere" computing applications used by today's "go anywhere" mobile computer users.
