NueMD Unveils Major Update to Its Medical Billing and EHR Software
Press release date: Jul 15, 2014
ATLANTA -- NueMD, a leading provider of medical billing, practice management, and electronic health record solutions, today announced the release of NueMD 4.0, a major update to its flagship product for small practices and billing companies. The update, which boasts a completely revamped look and feel, focuses on simplifying complicated business processes to help providers streamline workflows and increase reimbursements.
"We're focused on improving the efficiency of reimbursement, and it's from that perspective that we look at electronic health records," said Massoud Alibakhsh, CEO of NueMD. "We believe that the right systems can be designed to improve the capture of clinical data and the efficiency of billing processes; and that's always the center goal for us. NueMD 4.0 represents a giant step in that direction."
The software's enhanced user interface reflects a more intuitive navigation system and a friendlier color palette to reinforce the company's commitment to improving workflow efficiency. Updated billing features include a more powerful Advanced Claims Scrubbing module expected to deliver an industry-leading first pass claims acceptance rate.
NueMD recently opened up access to the new release to over 24,000 users, and response to the software's feature enhancements and updated look and feel have been overwhelmingly positive. "I love the new update. When I get EOBs, I can highlight claims that have been paid, easily check status of claims, and save a lot of time with simple clicks," said NueMD client Robert McClain, President of SleepWell Diagnostics Inc.
The release comes at a time when incorporating mobile devices into practices' workflows is becoming increasingly important. Newly innovated mobile EHR and billing technology is allowing providers to focus more on patient engagement, and helping billers communicate with practitioners to increase reimbursement.
"NueMD 4.0's new look and feel reflects all the changes and enhancements that have been going on for the last six years," said Alibakhsh. "These enhancements are mainly focused on simplifying complicated reimbursement processes, but at the same time, it sets the stage for our mobile strategy."
NueMD is currently testing multiple mobile applications, including a mobile EHR for Android and an application aimed at resolving claim denials by facilitating cleaner, more efficient HIPAA-compliant communication between providers and billers. The mobile EHR is currently available to Student Health clients as well as a select group of beta testers, and the billing communication application is slated to launch in early 2015.
NueMD is a complete medical billing and practice management software solution powered by Nuesoft Technologies Inc.
