Media Mill Feed Pump tolerates abrasive media.

Press Release Summary:

Suited for transfer of corrosive solids and particle-laden liquids in media mill applications, SPX accommodates flows from 0.1 µL to 350 gpm and withstands pressures to 232 psi. It has no moving parts in product zone, and pump rotor never comes in contact with slurry. Hose technology enables SPX to generate 30 ft suction lift and pump viscous chemicals and slurries without affecting pump life. Self-priming product is reversible and can run dry, indefinitely, without damage.

Watson-Marlow Bredel Launches Media Mill Feed Pump for Industrial Applications

SPX Pump Ideal for Handling Abrasives

Watson-Marlow Bredel, the leading manufacturer of peristaltic pumps, launches its abrasive-duty SPX Media Mill Feed pump, ideal for the transfer and handling of corrosive solids and particle-laden liquids used in media mill applications.

The SPX has no moving parts in the product zone and the pump rotor never comes in contact with the slurry, so the highly abrasive nature of the industrial products do not affect pump life. Advanced hose technology enables the SPX to generate tremendous suction lift and pump viscous chemicals and slurries dependably over a long period of time.

Watson-Marlow Bredel's hose pumps are virtually maintenance-free, with no expensive seals to replace, no check valves to clog and no rotors and stators to wear out. Unlike other pump types, the SPX's pump life is unaffected by highly abrasive products. With its self-loading design, hose replacement is quick and easy. The combination of these features makes the SPX an enduring solution for processing abrasive and corrosive materials.

Every Watson-Marlow Bredel peristaltic pump is an inherent metering pump with repeatability at 99.5%. Many models include integral digital drives and displays in washdown enclosures. These self-priming pumps accommodate flow rates from 0.1 microliter to 350 gpm, and are extremely durable, withstanding pressures up to 232 psi. There are no internal universal joints, valves, dead corners, or glands to impede flow, and these pumps are reversible for back-flushing lines. They can also run dry indefinitely without damage and provide up to a 30' suction lift.
