Siemens Introduces New Magnetic Flowmeter in Sizes up to 78 Inches in Diameter

ATLANTA - Siemens Industry, Inc. today announced the introduction of a magnetic flowmeter sized for use in the environmental markets. The new Sitrans F M 5100W flowmeter is manufactured in sizes up to 78" (DN2000) in diameter. With its hard rubber liner and Hastelloy electrodes as standard configuration, the flowmeter is suitable for most water/ wastewater and drinking water (NSF) applications.

In addition to the expanded sizes and new liner material, the Sitrans F M 5100W product has improved accuracy of 0.2 percent when using the Mag 6000 transmitter and 0.4 percent when using the Mag 5000 transmitter.

The new flowmeter is designed using the same Sensorprom technology featured in all electromagnetic flowmeters from Siemens. The Sensorprom technology provides both ease of startup and performance specifications. It also stores the original factory calibration data and magnetic fingerprint, unique to the specific sensor.
Additionally, it is compatible with the Mag Flow Verificator, which verifies that the meter is working the same as it did the day it left the factory.
