Milltronics Brings Two New Long Travel Models To Market
Milltronics Manufacturing Company, in Waconia, Minnesota, has long been the leader in providing open frame machining centers often found in tool rooms or job shops. These "RH" (rigid Head) bed type machining centers were available in several sizes from 25 x 15" travel to 60 x 30" travel, but now two new longer travel sizes have been added to satisfy a large and growing demand for long travel machines at affordable prices.
The new RH33 has travels of X 78" x Y 33" x Z 28" and the RH35 offers X 120" x Y 35" x Z 30" travels. Machines are available with a variety of accessories including automatic tool changers, chip guards, #40 or #50 spindle and much more. Base to saddles are supported by several box ways to maintain integrity over such large travels. These very heavy cast iron machines offer advantages for tough milling of large heavy parts. The open frame lends itself extremely well to shops doing large parts and molds in any variety of materials.
