Machinery Adhesives lock and seal nuts and bolts.

Press Release Summary:

Superlock adhesives provide positive locking and sealing on both active and inactive surfaces. Screw Lock Grade 2222 low-strength threadlocker is for spiral screws less than 1/4 in. diameter. Medium-strength Grade 2242 works on nuts, bolts, and screws with diameters up to 3/4 in. Grade 2262 high-strength formula controls torque/tension and clamp load on larger bolts and nuts in applications involving high vibration. Other grades are available.

SUPERLOCK(R) Anaerobic Machinery Adhesives

DANVERS, MA---SUPERLOCK® machinery adhesives from Devcon provide reliable locking and sealing of nuts, screws, studs, bolts, and other fasteners. They require no primers, exhibit excellent capillary action and gap-filling, cure rapidly, and are resistant to chemicals and corrosion. Available in a range of grades/strengths (all of which qualify under appropriate military specifications), SUPERLOCK threadlocking adhesives provide positive locking and sealing on both active and inactive surfaces in a multitude of applications.

Screw Lock Grade 2222 is a low-strength threadlocker for spiral screws less than 1/4" in diameter. It prevents loosening of set screws, adjustment screws, and calibration screws due to vibration.

A general-purpose, medium-strength threadlocker for nuts, bolts, and screws with diameters up to 3/4", Nut Lock Grade 2242 is ideal for mounting bolts, bearing-cover cap screws, and machine-tool access bolts.

Bolt Lock Grade 2262 is a high-strength formula for controlling torque/tension and clamp load on larger bolts and nuts in applications involving high vibration, heavy shocks, or harsh chemicals.

Stud Lock Grade 2271 is for permanent locking or tamper-proofing of fasteners with diameters of 1" or less. Highly resistant to solvents and heat, it is ideal for pump studs or bearing/bushing mounts.

Heavy Duty Bolt Grade 2277 is a high-viscosity, high-strength compound for fasteners with diameters of 1" or more. It prevents loosening of bolts, studs, and piping under extreme vibration in applications such as loader frame bolts, stacker bearing bolts, and compressor mounting bolts.

Penetrating Grade 2290 is a medium-strength, low-viscosity compound that wicks well between threads and seals hairline cracks and porous welds. It is used for locking threaded parts such as small motor set screws and machine-instrumentation set screws after assembly.

Retaining Compound 2609 is a low-viscosity, general-purpose formula for holding smooth cylindrical parts such as spindle bearings, bushings, sleeves, bearing races, and splines.

A high-viscosity retainer for securing cylindrical assemblies such as pulleys or sleeve bearings, Retaining Compound 2680 maintains higher strength than can be obtained with shrink or pressed fits.
