New Compact Vibrating Level Switch Gives Reliable, Economical Performance With A Wide Range of Liquids
A new vibrating liquid level switch, designed to give economical and reliable performance in even limited space, has been introduced by Solartron Mobrey of Houston, Texas.
The new Mini-Squing vibrating level switch uses tuning fork technology and features economical 3/4" mounting in pipes or tanks. The instrument's small fork size ensures minimal intrusion into the monitored vessel, and its heartbeat LED provides status and health information. The instrument also features added protection against reverse polarity and short circuit connection.
Applications include overfill protection, pump dry-run protection, high level alarms, leak detection, and pump level monitoring. A fully hygienic version - for use in food, drink, and pharmaceutical processing applications -features a hand-polished wetside and surface finish (Ra) better than 150 grit and meets 3A and EHEDG approvals.
The Mini-Squing has a continuous operating temperature of 300 deg F and handles pressures to 1450 psi. Operating frequency can be varied to avoid false switching caused by plant vibration. Fast, easy connection is accomplished via an industry standard plug/socket. The direct load switching model suits all supplies: 24 to 264V ac/dc, 50/60 Hz; 24V dc solid-state PNP output is also available for direct interface to PLCs.
