LED Bollard Lights feature true Type 3 optics.

Press Release Summary:

Using unique arrangement of LED arrays, 36 Watt LED Bollard Lights project light to front and sides while letting almost no light escape out back of light. True Type 3 optics enable safe egress on walkways, in parks, and in parking areas without allowing light to pour onto bordering properties or bodies of water, which is often considered light trespass.

New 36w LED Bollard Lights with TRUE Type 3 Optics

WORCESTER, Mass.,  -- Access Fixtures, an industry leader in LED commercial, industrial, and sports lighting, is announcing the introduction of new 36-watt LED bollard lights with TRUE Type 3 optics. Type 3 optics have long been implemented to maximize the light on the front and sides of a bollard light while limiting light out the back. To date, this was achieved in one of two ways: by implementing a light shield or installing specially molded optics into the borosilicate glass. The shield option degraded the appearance of the bollard light, while the special optics were simply unable to effectively direct the light. Now, using a unique arrangement of LED arrays, Access Fixtures can optimize the directional quality of LEDs to achieve TRUE Type 3 optics. Their new fixtures projects light to the front and sides and lets almost no light escape out the back of the light.

"True Type 3 is a significant advancement in bollard light optics. The light is directed and the appearance of the bollard is unimpeded," says Access Fixtures CEO, Steven Rothschild. "For applications that require light minimal light trespass, these bollards now offer an excellent solution."

In many bollard light applications, light is required to provide safe egress on a walkway, park, or parking area. While these locations need to be lit, any light that pours onto bordering properties or bodies of water is often considered light trespass. True Type 3 LED bollard lights maximize the light in just the right places. Lighting designers, architects, and property managers now have a foolproof way to guarantee light with minimal trespass.
