IR Temperature Sensors target OEMs.

Press Release Summary:

Suited for demanding mechanical applications, CX thermoMETER Series provides signal using single twin-wire cable, which also powers unit, whereby signal-dependent current flows at same time. Units feature -30 to +900°C temperature range and 0.025°C resolution. With all electronics located in sensor housing or cable, thermoMETER CS and CS micro offer temperature range of -20 to +350°C and are intended for non-contact temperature measurement with restricted installation space.

New OEM Temperature Sensors

The new thermoMETER series infrared temperature sensors from Micro-Epsilon are now available as OEM versions for use in high volume production. These temperature sensors can be found in the standard range as either very compact, miniature versions or - completely new - in an extremely robust version.

Due to its robust construction, the new CX thermoMETER series is ideal for demanding mechanical applications. The sensor provides the signal using a single twin-wire cable, which also powers the unit, whereby a signal-dependent current flows at the same time. The wiring complexity is therefore significantly reduced. Individual sensor settings are carried out using the special CompactConnect software. The CX is suitable for temperature ranges from -30°C up to +900°C and is available with an extremely high resolution of 0.025°C.

The thermoMETER CS and CS micro versions are the miniature sensors in the range. For the CS, all the electronics is located in the sensor housing and in the cable for the CS micro. Therefore, the sensors are ideally suited to non-contact temperature measurement tasks with restricted installation space. Both versions of the sensor are suitable for temperature measurements between -20°C and +350°C. The values obtained are very precise due to the robust, silicon-coated optics. Multiple analogue outputs, USB and alarm outputs means the sensors are very flexible.
