Original Press Release:

New Industrial Strength Lubricant: Andy's Super Oil a New Benchmark in Lubricious Sprays!

Andrew Barkin is a Camarillo, CA engineer and inventor who studies tribology – the science of lubrication. Several years ago he became dissatisfied with the products that were available on the market and embarked on a personal journey to formulate a product that would achieve a totally new level of lubriciuosness.

He mixed a high-quality petroleum base with a hand-selected mixture of the finest additives, including PTFE (commonly known by the trademarked- name Teflon). PTFE is one of the most lubricious materials known.

The result is a new multi-purpose maintenance product called Andy’s Super Oil – a totally improved spray lubricant that outperforms the products available in the marketplace today.

Andy's Super Oil being used on an aircraft engine control line at the Camarillo Airport in Southern California.

Andy says that most of the products you see in stores store are mainly solvents with a little light mineral oil added. They work by dissolving what little lubricant is there and re-using it before it drips out or dries.  “The most well-known products weren’t designed to be lubricants at all – they were created as rust preventers,” says Barkin. “If they’re great for removing crayons from carpet, you can be certain that they aren’t going to do a good job quieting a squeaky hinge or lubricating a bicycle chain.”

Andy's Super Oil is a distinctly different formulation from solvents like WD-40 and similar products made by Dow Chemical, E.I. DuPont Nemours and Co., and Blaster Products. It’s a true lubricant that stays where you spray it and lubricates the way you want it to.

Andy’s Super Oil works on just about anything that slides, twists, turns, hinges, glides, or spins whether it is made of metal or plastic. “It’s the first new formula to come out in over a decade,” says Andy, “and it beats everything else on the market hands down.” Its uses include a wide variety of household, marine, automotive, construction, repair, sporting goods, gardening, and various industrial applications.

An 11 ounce can retails for $8.99. It is available nationwide on Amazon.
