High-Temperature Clamps suit forging applications.

Press Release Summary:

Installed on press bolster or ram, TBHS Escaping Arc Clamp moves in arced path to eliminate possibility of sticking. It is designed for forging applications where die swelling is of concern and suits automated systems where position sensing is required. Optional sensors are available to detect clamped and unclamped positions, and mechanical safety detent ensures dies will not drop in case of pressure failure. Range of sizes is available, accommodating dies from 2-63 metric tons.

Serapid Clamps Perfect for Forging Applications

Serapid, a leader in Quick Die Change equipment and components, announces a new clamp specially suited for high-temperature applications.

The TBHS Escaping Arc Clamp is specifically designed for forging applications, where die swelling is an issue. It moves in an arced path (hence the name), so there is no risk of it sticking. This clamp is also well suited for automated systems, where sensing position is required.

It is available in a range of sizes, accommodating dies of two metric tons to 63 metric tons. Optional sensors are available to detect the clamped and unclamped positions. It can be installed on either the press bolster or ram, and features a mechanical safety detent so dies will not drop in the event of a pressure failure.

With Serapid's complete range of clamping devices, guides and rolling elements, they are able to custom-design and configure a Quick Die Change System to fit your exact needs! Die positioning is done by original rigid chain drives, using a technology they have implemented and refined for over 30 years!
