Sharp Adds Four New Models to Highly Successful Color Advanced and Essentials Series MFP Line-Up

New high-speed color document systems deliver strong productivity for busy workgroups and departmental environments

MAHWAH, N.J. -- Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America, a division of Sharp Electronics Corporation (SEC), announces four new models in its series of mid-to-high volume color document systems. The addition of these new color Advanced and Essentials series models brings the total number of  models in the series to 10, all built on a single-engine platform with an easy-to-use common interface. Each model provides stunning color output with exceptional ease of use. Businesses will also appreciate the common toner supplies across all ten models.

New Color Advanced Series Models: MX-5070N and MX-6070N

The MX-5070N and MX-6070N Advanced Series models offer output speeds of up to 60 ppm in color or monochrome and provide enhanced workflow solutions for busy workgroups and departmental environments. The new models also come equipped with a Sharp walk-up motion sensor that detects a user approaching and brings the machine to ready condition within seconds. The MX-5070N and MX-6070N models can also scan documents at up to 200 images per minute with the standard duplexing single pass feeder. All of the color Advanced Series models include the latest version of Sharp OSA(®) technology for easy integration with network applications and cloud services. The MX-5070N and MX-6070N models join the MX-3070N, MX-3570N and MX-4070N color Advanced Series models, which launched in December.

New Color Essentials Series Models: MX-5050N and MX-6050N

The MX-5050N and MX-6050N Essentials Series models also offer output speeds up to 60 ppm, but are designed for cost-conscious customers, offering out-of-box multifunction capability at a strong value. For businesses that use both the color Essentials Series and color Advanced Series models, the learning curve is easy since they all use the same interface. The MX-5050N and MX-6050N models join the MX-3050N, MX-3550N and MX-4050N color Essentials Series models that launched earlier this year.

The color Advanced Series and color Essentials Series document systems are designed with users in mind, enabling them to easily set up and execute workflow tasks. Both series are equipped with the next generation Sharp touchscreen display, offering an intuitive graphical interface with Easy Copy and Easy Scan screens, as well as quick access to on-board operation guides. Both model series also support popular mobile technologies, including Apple(®) AirPrint(®), Mopria(TM), Android(TM) Print Service, Google Cloud Print(TM) and Sharpdesk(®) Mobile. Multi-layered security features from Sharp help ensure intellectual property and personal information is protected throughout the life of the device, and includes a standard end-of-lease function that erases all data and personal information at trade-in time.

"We're excited to present these four new models in the Sharp Advanced and Essentials Series, which continue to simplify and streamline the user experience with one of the most productive and easy-to-use MFPs in the industry," said Shane Coffey, Senior Director, Hardware Product Management, Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America. "We know that users today are often confused or intimidated by network-integrated multifunction printers that offer too many bells and whistles, and these new Sharp color workgroup document systems solve those concerns without sacrificing functionality. Additionally, these systems enable businesses to choose the performance and features they need from either series based on their needs."
