New High Power Generators from Makita
Press release date: April 15, 2004
Models G2800L (2,800 watts) and G4300L (4,300 watts) feature EX Series engines, the first in the industrial air-cooled engine market to utilize high-performance chain driven Overhead Cam (OHC) technology. Makita's new EX Series generators with chain drive have a more precise valve train, less moving parts and quieter operation. Additional integrated features include an automatic compression release system and recoil starter system with electronic ignition requiring 40% less pulling force in sub-zero weather for delivering reliable, consistent service. Noise level is optimized through the use of a rigid muffler.
Makita's new G1100 generator is powerful at 2.5 HP and lightweight at 55 lbs. This model is equipped with an Overhead Valve (OHV) engine with a 1,100 watt maximum output. The G1100 has a 1.1 gallon fuel tank with a 4.2 hour runtime, with noise levels as low as 59 dB for a quieter work environment and low vibration. Its low-profile suitcase design enables users to carry and transport the generator with ease.
Equipped with a durable metal tank, model G4300L holds up to 4.2 gallons of fuel for longer run time. Its pent-roof combustion chamber emits less exhaust emissions for greater power and efficiency. It also features circuit breakers and automated voltage regulators for consistent electrical flow and overload protection.
Makita's new high-powered generators have an impact resistant design and full cage metal frame (models G2800L & G4300L) to withstand even the toughest handling. Additional features benefiting the professional are built-in oil sensors that automatically shut the units off if the oil level drops too low; cast iron cylinder for durability; and heavy-duty air and fuel filters for ease of maintenance. These new generators are ideal at any demanding jobsite or whenever professional portable power is needed.
