New Hardsurfacing Electrode Maintains Sharp Edges
Fort Loramie, OH –Select-Arc, Inc. has introduced an iron-based, martensitic, high molybdenum, high speed, tool steel alloy electrode that is an excellent choice for welding components that are required to maintain a sharp edge.
SelectWear M7 offers high hardness (two layers – RC60-65) with a good balance between abrasion and impact resistance. The deposit is magnetic, will not cross check and is not readily machinable.
Available in .035”,.045”, 1/16”, 7/64” and 1/8” diameters, SelectWear M7 is utilized for welding on hot and cold dies, shear blades, tire shredders, cutting and shaving knives and where maintaining a sharp edge is needed.
