STAMFORD, CT - Seatek Co. is introducing a new patent pending hacksaw which has a different design approach from what is being marketed today. The Fold-A-Saw, as its name indicates, can be quickly folded to a compact size for carrying or storage. Great for the boat, car - anywhere with limited storage space. The Fold-A-Saw is comprised of two folding blade securing members that nest neatly in the "U" shaped channel. Space is provided inside this channel for storage of two hacksaw blades, the Fold-A-Saw accepts standard 12" blades. Unfolding the saw and attaching the blade is simple, thanks to a quick release blade mechanism. Latches keep the blade in place while the blade is tensioned with a fast cam action lever. This blade locking system is fully adjustable to tension the blade with high force for maximum rigidity. The Fold-A-Saw is safer than a regular hacksaw since the blade can be folded away when not in use. The handle has a built-in guard and soft cushioned rubber inserts are provided for comfort. The Fold-A-Saw is made of high-strength steel and aluminum and weighs only one pound. Dimensions are 14-1/2 X 2-3/4.
