GSSI Announces Flexible Ground Penetrating Radar System for Utility Location and More

GSSI, the world's leading manufacturer of ground penetrating radar (GPR) equipment, announces its UtilityScan GPR system. UtilityScan is the industry standard in GPR equipment, and can locate a variety of metallic and non-metallic targets. With the UtilityScan, users can efficiently identify and mark the location and depth of subsurface utilities such as gas, sewer, and communication lines, as well as perform a variety of tasks beyond utility location.

The UtilityScan family of GPR solutions is configurable to the needs of specific applications, such as utility detection, environmental remediation, road inspection, concrete scanning and geological, archaeological and forensic investigations. With ten different cart, antenna and control unit configurations, the UtilityScan can be tailored to meet a wide range of needs. All of the UtilityScan configurations deliver exceptionally high-quality data and are rugged enough to withstand years of field usage.

The easy-to-transport UtilityScan system offers real-time data collection, with a back-up cursor and cross-hair cursor to allow users to accurately identify targets. It also has the ability to store and replay data, giving it the flexibility for use in wide-ranging applications.

For users in more high-demand GPR applications, GSSI also offers the UtilityScan DF, their premium utility location GPR unit. The UtilityScan DF has an innovative dual-frequency antenna and touch screen monitor that together allow users to simultaneously view shallow and deep targets in a single scan. Also available is the UtilityScan LT, a lower-cost GPR solution based on the original UtilityScan, making it perfect for real-time utility location.
