Munitions Crusher from Schutte-Buffalo Hammermill Processes a Variety of Spent Munitions

Schutte-Buffalo Hammermill introduces the Munitions Crusher, a gravity discharge hammer mill designed for processing brass and aluminum shell casings, weaponry ignition components, bomb dummy units, ejection projectiles and more in accordance with the U.S. military standards for munitions destruction.

Material fed into the grinding chamber of the Munitions Crusher is pulverized by continuous high speed hammer blows until it is reduced to a particle size that will allow passage through the discharge screen. Processed munitions are thoroughly deformed and unable to be reconstituted. In addition, the pulverizing action liberates most components, aiding in downstream sorting and recycling.

The Munitions Crusher series is constructed from heavy duty carbon steel and is available in several sizes with infeed widths ranging from 6" to 60". All models feature replaceable internal liner plates which protect the grinding chamber from wear associated with processing highly abrasive materials. Choice of numerous hammer styles and screen sizes allow for achieving the exact desired level of deformity and size reduction. Optional support stands, infeed and discharge chutes are available on all models, and are custom built to suit the exact method in which the mill will be fed and collected from.

At Schutte-Buffalo Hammermill LLC, we have been designing and manufacturing custom engineered size reduction equipment for more than eighty years, serving a wide variety of industries with installations worldwide. With more than 200 models in our catalog, we take great pride in our ability to match our customer with the correct mill custom engineered to meet their production goals.
