Graphical Digital Readout

Newall, a global business unit of Custom Sensors & Technologies (CST) is pleased to announce the introduction of their CE certified DP900 DRO for manual lathe and milling machine applications. The DP900 is Newall's most powerful and flexible DRO to date. Its new graphical LCD-based display can be specified with 2, 3, or 4 axes and offers a host of easy-to-use advanced features aimed at increasing machine tool efficiency.

Interactive features on the DP900 include graphical dynamic tool position allowing the operator to observe tool movement on the DRO in real time. Integrated geometric calculations have been added allowing operators to establish datum points or take inspection readings while the part is still on the machine. Geometric reading such as angle, skew, step, slot, arc, as well as circle OD, ID and center can be captured with or without the use of the optional touch probe.

Centered on a clear blue-on-white LCD, the DP 900 has a rugged die cast chassis. The innovative "feather touch" capacitive touch sense technology keypad ensures long life and stability throughout the rugged shop environment.

Standard features found on most of Newall's DRO product line are also found on the DP900, these include:

o Linear and segmented error compensation
o Bolt hole circle
o Arc contouring
o Grid array
o Vectoring
o Tapering
o Tool offsets
o Axis preset
