NORD Gear's NEW 90.1 Series Helical-Bevel Gear Products Offer Up to 61% Increased Gearbox Capacity
Waunakee, WI-NORD Gear Corporation announces the release of the NEW 90.1 Series of helical-bevel gear products. This redesigned new series provides the proven performance of NORD's 90 Series
products, while offering a significant torque increase in almost all case sizes and ratios.
The increased capacity of the 90.1 Series has been achieved through the optimization of the gear tooth geometry, the gear finishing and the gear materials, as well as through reinforced shafts and support bearings. Additional benefits of this redesign include higher service factors, longer service life and
reduced costs to achieve equivalent outputs.
The 90.1 Series is available in ten basic sizes, providing one new size option over the 90 Series. The new case size will offer customers better value when it is suitable to the application. The mechanical dimensions of the nine redesigned products are identical to those of the 90 Series. This means there is
no customer re-engineering required and results in a very simple conversion to the new design. Additionally, many of the sizes are interchangeable with competitive models.
In addition to increased capacity, five of the 90.1 Series models are available with more ratio steps. This gives customers a better match to their speed requirements.
