August 28, 2014 - Available with nominal forces from 2.5 kN to 1 MN, in accuracy classes from 0.03–0.06, C10 Compressive Force Transducers come in hermetically sealed, stainless steel version and feature IP68 rating for use in environments where dirt and moisture can be problematic. Despite high output signal up to 4 mV/V, transducers have low temperature coefficient. Zero point temperature coefficient, TC0, is 75 ppm/10 K. Applications include propulsion testing, end-of-line testing, and drop testing.

Rugged Force Transducers Offer High Precision, Configurability

The C10 is available with various nominal forces ranging from 2.5 kN to 1 MN, in accuracy classes ranging from 0.03 to 0.06. Despite the high output signal (up to 4 mV/V), C10 transducers have a very low temperature coefficient. The zero point temperature coefficient, TC0, is only 75 ppm/10 K.
According to Thomas Kleckers, product marketing manager for HBM, “No other sensor on the market made from rust free materials offers this level of performance.”
A wide variety of options are available, including a double-bridge option, TEDS transducer electronic data sheets, and many different cables and connectors. Altogether, there are 2,304 different configurations. C10 applications will range from propulsion testing to end-of-line testing, to drop testing and anywhere precision force in harsh environments is required.
