Protector XL Floor-Mounted Laboratory Hoods are by-pass airflow fume hoods that have chemical-resistant panel liners that offer outstanding design flexibility and chemical resistivity. They are supplied in three depths and have a maximum visibility of 73.5" high to meet a variety of installation and application requirements.
Protector XL Floor-Mounted Laboratory Hoods with vertical-rising sashes meet the SEFA-1 standard of a low velocity, high performance hood allowing operation as low as 60 fpm. They are offered in four widths of 4', 5', 6' and 8'. They have containment-enhancing features like two tempered safety glass sashes with powder-coated aluminum sash handles and powder-coated steel sash tracks with Clean-Sweep slots. The upper sash handle also includes Clean-Sweep™ openings to bleed air into the hood chamber and away from the operator’s breathing zone.
The Protector XL Hoods with four horizontal sashes are available in four widths of 8', 10', 12' and 16'. Their internal width and height makes them ideal for applications requiring distillation racks, extraction apparatus or large drums.
All Protector Floor-Mounted Hoods feature Opti-Zone baffles with unique slot patterns to provide uniform airflow to lower the average face velocity necessary for containment.
