Vishay Intertechnology Releases Environment-Friendly X1 EMI Suppression Film Capacitors for Across-the-Line Applications in Industrial Power Electronics



MALVERN, Pa. – Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH) today announced the release of a new series of X1 electromagnetic interference (EMI) suppression film capacitors with voltage ratings of 330 VAC and 480 VAC for standard X1 across-the-line applications (50 Hz / 60 Hz) in industrial power electronics.



The F339X1 480 V capacitor released today features an internal series construction designed for a high grade of capacitance stability, thus ensuring its suitability for continuous operation in across-the-line applications in industrial power applications and for series impedance in capacitive power supplies, even under extreme ambient conditions.



With its mono construction, the F339X1 330 V is an optimized X1 EMI suppression film capacitor for pulse loads of uncontrolled mains switching, such as power inverters, in standard across-the-line applications.



The F339X1 series capacitors offer higher AC voltage ratings than most standard EMI suppression film capacitors while continuing to meet safety approvals, including IEC 60384-14, CSA-E384-14, UL 60384-14, and CQC. The capacitors offer lead pitches from 7.5 mm to 27.5 mm, capacitance values from 0.001 µF to 2.2 µF, and a permissible DC voltage up to 1000 V.



Climate-tested according to IEC 60068-1 (55/110/56/B), the encapsulation of the devices consists of a flame-retardant UL-class 94 V-0 plastic case, which is epoxy resin-sealed. Supplied loose in a box or taped on reel, the lead (Pb)-free capacitors are RoHS-compliant, halogen-free, and Vishay GREEN. (The Vishay GREEN designation means that a component has less than 900 ppm of antimony and less than 100 ppm of red phosphorous, is halogen-free, and is RoHS-compliant without exemptions.)
